The Client
NannyMatters is a UK nanny-payroll and nanny-tax specialist supporting families who employ nannies. They manage payroll, tax, pensions, contracts and compliance, helping parents navigate the responsibilities of becoming an employer.
Their previous website was built on Umbraco, which made routine updates difficult and required developer involvement for even small changes such as updating calculator rates. The platform also limited their ability to scale features like online registration and automated cost calculations.
The Objective
The goal was to migrate the NannyMatters website from Umbraco to WordPress to make management significantly more affordable and give the internal team the ability to update key areas without touching code. The project also aimed to modernise the site’s overall structure, usability and performance, ensuring it felt more current and easier for customers to navigate.
A second core objective was to modernise the customer journey by enabling online registration and accurate cost calculations based on services, frequency and add-ons. This included developing a new nanny-tax calculator for the homepage and integrating discount-code logic directly into the system.
Finally, the migration needed to preserve existing SEO equity while positioning the site for improved search performance from day one.
What We Delivered
WordPress Migration With SEO-Focused Structure
We migrated the entire site from Umbraco to WordPress, maintaining the brand look and content while restructuring pages to be more search-friendly. All existing SEO defaults were retained to avoid ranking loss, with improvements added for long-term organic growth.

The NannyMatters team can now update rates and logic inside the WordPress admin without editing code. This eliminates ongoing developer dependency and drastically reduces maintenance costs.
